Lead Time Optimization - Data Science
Description: This feature will convert lead-time uncertainty into reduced landed cost, leaner inventory, improved service and faster disruption response. Without this, containers will continue arriving early or late — causing D&D and storage on one side and missed Must-Arrive-By-Dates, OTIF penalties and stockouts on the other. Planners will keep excess safety stock, tying up working capital. Disruption will be addressed reactively, and procurement will negotiate using carriers' self-reported performance instead of objective reliability and cost data. With this feature, though, arrivals will align closer to plan, reducing avoidable D&D and storage. Buffers sized to predicted lead times free working capital. Fewer late or short deliveries protect revenue and OTIF. Disruption will be quantified and acted on proactively, and carrier allocation will be based on reliability and total landed cost. Because the intelligence writes back into the customer's TMS/ERP, it updates the plan of record rather than remaining in a separate dashboard.
